Complex Games
From The Maimed Project
The Build Team and other residents have created a number of games that go on throughout The Complex, and are usually designed to be as potentially dangerous for the bodily well-being of the participants as possible.
Hallway Luge
Location: Basement
Players hug carpeted furniture trolleys, get a running start, and slide/throw themselves headfirst down a hallway. Whoever goes furthest before running out of momentum or colliding into a wall wins.
Crash
Location: Basement
Played in teams of two players, each with one of the abandoned housekeeping hampers kept in the basement. One player pushes the hamper and one shouts insults from inside it. The object of the game is to crash into other hampers as violently as possible.
Chute Drag
Location: Laundry chute
Players construct shoebox-sized cars to participate. Two racers start at the eighth floor and a judge waits in the basement with a stopwatch. At the judge's signal (shouted up through the laundry chute), the racers push their cars down the chute. Traditionally at this point both racers sprint as fast as physically possible down to the basement to see the outcome. Whichever car emerges first wins.
